Our Products

We love that you love jumping spiders! Our dedication to your happy and healthy experience of owning a pet jumping spiders, starts from rearing spider-lings individually for two reasons. First, it is because we are aware of which ones are good eater, and suitable for rehoming. Second reason is because it will allow us to keep the fresh adults virgin. This way, they can live longer with you, and you do not have to worry about unwanted babies. Females are generally easier to feed, and they live over a year. In comparison, males maybe pickier on what and when to feed, so you may need to understand their behavioural cues. Also the males typically don't get to live more than a year. These differences are thus reflected to the different pricing. At Maple Phidippus, we provide healthy, virgin Canadian captive bred spiders. Check out our inventory to see what’s in store.

Enclosure (4x4x7.25")

$30-35, $5 packaging fee for shipping

The 2-vent design ($30) and 3-vent design ($35) are available. Both come with a feeding hole to be plugged with a foam ear plug (included). The inverted design (the lid as the bottom) is also available upon request with no additional charge. The ring colour is silver only. The mesh is made with a very fine yet durable material. 2-vent one is better suited when using only dry decorations. 3-vent one is better when using moist substrate and/or live plants.
Note that the lid and the bottom is very tightly fit, which you need to get used to, in order to avoid accidents. The plastic surface is very smooth, and some spiders might have hard time climbing the wall. In that case, provide some sort of scaffoldings or scrub the inside with wet non-scratch kitchen sponge to gently scratch the surface (Be careful not to lose the clarity of plastic).
